Welcome
My name is Qyya (pronounced 'kai-ya'), I'm a historian, textile artist, practitioner researcher, and storyteller - and this is the digital home of my creative practice. My work is a personal journey of reviving and preserving the traditions and the knowledge of my kinfolk and using them as a means to comment on contemporary issues, but above all, I aim to create an artistic experience that serves the communities in which it is hosted.
